Thanks to everyone who checked out the podcast last week. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but the Trey Owens interview has more than 1,000 views on YouTube over the last few days. Two more QB Recruiting Podcasts will be released on Wednesday night with four QB Recruiting Newsletters coming this week.
There is still a ton of work to do for teams looking for a 2024 quarterback, but more 2025 QBs are starting to off the board. Another Power 5 program picked up a head start on the next recruiting cycle, and that’s where we’ll get things started coming out of a busy weekend.

Baylor adds 2025 3-star QB Adam Schobel commitment
SCOOP: Adam Schobel
Adam Schobel (TX) is staying inside the state with a commitment to Baylor on Sunday morning. He’s the second quarterback to commit to the Bears within the last month, joining 2024 3-star QB Nate Bennett (CA). Schobel announced an offer from Baylor in May, and the Bears appear to be in a good spot at the position for the foreseeable future.
2024 4-star QB Jakhari Williams releases top 5

Jakhari Williams (GA) has been decommitted from in-state Georgia Tech for about a month and released his new top five schools over the weekend. Williams is down to Syracuse, Boston College, Florida Atlantic, Western Kentucky and James Madison. None of these programs have a 2024 quarterback committed, and offers from the Hilltoppers, Owls and Dukes have come since decommitting from the Yellow Jackets.
2025 4-star QB Deuce Knight visits Alabama
SCOOP: Deuce Knight
Alabama was not listed in Deuce Knight’s recent top 10, but that may change after his visit to see the Crimson Tide over the weekend. Knight picked up an offer from Alabama last week, followed by the visit. The Tide do not have a quarterback committed to the 2025 class yet, though they’ve had 2024 5-star QB Julian Sayin (CA) committed since November.

2024 3-star QB Henry Hasselbeck adds Arizona to visit schedule

Henry Hasselbeck’s (MA) busy June visit schedule got even busier with a couple more trips added to the list. Coming out of visits to Michigan State and Boston College this month, Hasselbeck told The Gunslinger Buzz he’ll see UAB (June 14-16), Arizona (June 16-18), Pitt (June 22-24) and Harvard (June 24-25).
