MY TOP THREE
Robert McDaniel
2025 3โญ Robert McDaniel (CA) flipped from Cal to Arizona last week due to the relationship with the new Wildcats coaching staff. He had been committed to the Golden Bears for more than two months before joining Arizona. The Wildcats had their own QB decommitment in this class when Dash Beierly switched to Washington in January.
โI always had a great relationship with the staff with them being one of my first offers while they were at San Jose State. The relationship has carried over with the staff at Arizona now, and Coach Babers helped solidify the feelings I had.โ - Robert McDaniel
Keisean Henderson
2026 4โญ Keisean Henderson (TX) told me heโll play quarterback at Houston after committing last week. Heโs listed as an athlete or wide receiver by the major recruiting sites but is 100% set on playing QB for the Cougars. Henderson credited โthe feeling of being home and putting on for the cityโ as his reason for landing with Houston.
Jett Niu
2025 3โญ Jett Niu (UT) committed to Appalachian State over a group of finalists that included Arizona, Washington State and Utah State. The Mountaineers lost Dan Mahan to Duke in April but have their guy with Niu.
โHonestly, it was a lot of prayer to my Father in heaven, I needed some help on which direction to go, and I felt right about App State. I really loved the constant communication with them. Coach Ponce and I have gained a really good relationship, and I know Iโm in good hands. I love the atmosphere and energy over there. I liked it a lot when I went on my unofficial visit a few months ago, and Iโm looking forward to my official visit in a few weeks. Itโs a really special place and they have some good things going.โ - Jett Niu

RECRUITING REPORT
Cole Hodge
East Carolina 2024 3โญ signee Cole Hodge (KY) underwent surgery on his torn hip labrum last month. Instead of joining the team right away, he told me heโll be rehabbing at home in Louisville this fall before enrolling in January when heโs expecting to be fully recovered. Hodge remains signed to the Pirates and will essentially be part of the teamโs 2025 recruiting class.
Charlie Johnston
2025 3โญ Charlie Johnston (AL) committed to Georgia Southern and credited the Eagles as being the best fit. He had 13 offers at the time of his commitment.
โI love the culture at Georgia Southern and built a great relationship with Coach Helton and Coach Aplin. They have one of the most dynamic passing offenses in the country, and I feel like itโs a place where I can develop as a player and make a difference. In addition, it has an impressive business school and has a strong football community. It just feels like a great fit for me.โ - Charlie Johnston
Nick Kinsey
2026 QB Nick Kinsey (MN) will visit Missouri on Thursday, followed by Kansas State on Friday. He saw North Carolina earlier this week and just picked up his sixth offer from Central Michigan. Kinsey has additional upcoming trips to Michigan State (June 10), Iowa State (June 11) and Oregon (June 14).
Vance Holtz
2025 3โญ Vance Holtz (WI) committed to Western Michigan last week and told me he knew the Broncos were the right team on his visit. He picked up an offer in late April and added Central Michigan and St. Thomas (FCS) were in the mix.
โI decided Western Michigan because of how inviting the coaching staff is there. My first visit was awesome, and I fell in love with the campus and the staff. They made it clear they wanted me, and I have a great opportunity to compete. Canโt pass up on that.โ - Vance Holtz
Jaylen Mason
2026 QB Jaylen Mason (KS) will visit Tennessee and Vanderbilt on Wednesday, along with a scheduled trip to Nebraska on June 14. He told me heโll see Kansas and Texas A&M at some point as well.
Nolan Good
2025 QB Nolan Good (OH) committed to Kent State after landing an offer last September. He credited a good education and being about an hour away from home as a few of the reasons for picking the Golden Flashes.
โOne of the major things that went into my decision is the relationships I built with the coaching staff. I have been in constant communication with them ever since the day I was offered, and I really appreciated the coaches writing me hand written letters. I have tremendous amounts of respect for Coach Burns and the way he is going about trying to turn the program around. I want to be a part of that and help the team achieve our milestones.โ - Nolan Good
Ethan Sharpe
2026 QB Ethan Sharpe (GA) will visit Georgia Tech on Thursday with a Georgia State camp set for Saturday. Heโs coming off a camp at Auburn with additional camp invites to Troy, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
Chris Noble
2025 QB Chris Noble (FL) will attend camps at West Georgia (Tuesday), Georgia Tech (Wednesday) and Valdosta State (Thursday) this week. Heโll also see Troy (June 13) and Florida (June 21) for his 7-on-7 schedule.
Kane Donnelly
2025 QB Kane Donnelly (WI) will see Minnesota on Wednesday. He also has upcoming camps at UW-River Falls (June 12), North Dakota (June 13), North Dakota State (June 14-16) and St. Thomas (June 20).

TRANSFER REPORT
Dallen Engemann
Utah added Dallen Engemann to its QB room after playing 11 games at Santa Ana (Juco) last season. He told me many smaller schools said he would be given a starting role immediately and acknowledges that will not be the case with Cam Rising returning for his final year of eligibility. Engemann told me he chose the Utes over several FCS schools.
โI know I can compete and play at the highest level. I am a big believer in having a growth mindset and putting myself in situations that promote growth. Ultimately, I wanted to be at a school where I could become the best version of myself. I believe Utah is that school. Utah is a great program with an amazing coaching staff.โ - Dallen Engemann
Adam Damante
Arizona landed Northern Arizona transfer Adam Damante, who played seven games as a true freshman last season. He told me he knew Arizona was the place for him when the Wildcats offered.
โIt was the best opportunity for me to learn behind Noah, who has proven himself, and I can learn behind him. When he goes to the NFL, I can take over and put my name into Arizona history. Also, the coaches are great people, and they are building a championship program here. I want to be apart of that because itโs something special here in Tucson.โ - Adam Damante
Dominiq Ponder
Colorado received a commitment from Dominiq Ponder, who played two games at Bethune-Cookman last season and spent this spring at Georgia Tech. He mentioned learning from Shedeur Sanders and the coaching staff and an opportunity to compete for the starting spot in 2025 among the reasons he joined the Buffaloes.
โIโm going to learn so much, and itโs just an honor to be on this team. Iโm blessed and so thankful.โ - Dominiq Ponder
Earl Woods III
Jacksonville State transfer Earl Woods III committed to Kennesaw State with four years of eligibility remaining. The former 3โญ prospect appeared in one game as a running back last season but will play QB with the Owls.
โI just felt like Iโll have a great opportunity here. The offense fit me. I believe I can be developed here and learn a lot from Coach Burks.โ - Earl Woods III
Xavier Ward
Sam Houston State transfer QB Xavier Ward committed to San Jose State for his final two years of eligibility. He did not see the field with the Bearkats last season and told me his decision came down to the family environment, Silicon Valley and reuniting with offensive coordinator Craig Stutzmann. The two worked together at Washington State in 2021.
CJ Jordan
Former Northern Illinois QB CJ Jordan committed to Portland State for his final two years of eligibility, a team spokesperson told me. He did not play a snap last season and will graduate from NIU this summer before joining his new team.
Gunnar Smith
UCF transfer QB Gunnar Smith committed to Highland (Juco) with three years of eligibility remaining. He did not see the field in two seasons with the Knights. Smith said he received interest from several D1 and D2 programs but did not see an opportunity to move up the depth chart right away.
โI have been sitting two years and want to get on the field and prove myself. The goal is to put up strong numbers in Juco, get some great film and get an opportunity to compete to start at D1. Iโm betting on myself.โ - Gunnar Smith
Mason McHugh
Appalachian State transfer QB Mason McHugh told me he signed with Butler (Juco) for the 2024 season. The former 3โญ prospect did not see the field in his lone season with the Mountaineers and competed for the backup spot this spring.
Jordan Barton
Sacramento State added Riverside City (Juco) transfer QB Jordan Barton, who played 13 games last season and has been committed since April. He said the culture reminded him of Riverside City College and credited OC Bobby Fresquesโ ability to develop QBs with a smaller stature.
โNot only have the coaches turned Sac State into a winning program now, the culture is good and you can tell it was built on great leadership and character. Iโm walking into a competitive QB room, and I love that because iron sharpens iron and itโs only going to make me a better player.โ - Jordan Barton
Logan Gonzalez
Former Portland State QB Logan Gonzalez told me he committed to Mt. San Jacinto (Juco). He appeared in four games with the Vikings last season with three years of eligibility remaining.
Hunter Herrera
Former Arizona State QB Hunter Herrera committed to Golden West (Juco) and told me heโll weigh his options after the season. He had an offer from Stephen F. Austin but credited Golden Westโs ability to get QBs to the Division I level including three from last yearโs team.
โThey have a very QB-friendly offense where I could fully display my throwing and athletic ability. I was strongly considering returning to ASU and Stephen F. Austin. I really wanted to find a new opportunity in Juco and get a quick reset. Mt. SAC was also in consideration, but I think Golden West is the best spot for me.โ - Hunter Herrera
Tyler Nelson
Kennesaw State transfer QB Tyler Nelson told me heโll spend the 2024 season with Garden City (Juco). He did not see the field last season and credited Garden City with jumping on him early and the plan the coaching staff put in place for him.
Mason Welch
Louisiana Tech added a commitment from Kilgore (Juco) QB Mason Welch, who played 11 games last season. He told me he was not interested in any other programs when Louisiana Tech showed interest.
โLouisiana Tech has been a dream school of mine for a long time. I grew up coming to the games and being from the 318, it was a no brainer to come back home. After talking with Coach Cumbie, itโs easy to believe that he wants the best for you not only as a player but as a person.โ - Mason Welch
Drew Tapley
Drake transfer QB Drew Tapley committed to Palomar (Juco) and has been with the program for the past semester. He did not play a snap as a true freshman last season.
