COLLEGE FOOTBALL QB REPORT
Notre Dame received a commitment from 2025 4-star QB Deuce Knight on Monday. Knight was one of the most sought-after quarterbacks in the class with a ton of interest from some of the best programs in the country. Knight is a Mississippi prospect who is expected to join a future Fighting Irish quarterback room that includes 2024 4-star CJ Carr commit from Michigan.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban named Jalen Milroe (Stats) the starting QB for Saturday’s matchup with Ole Miss. Milroe started the first two games of the season, though he did not see the field in Week 3 against USF with Tyler Buchner (Stats) and Ty Simpson (Stats) splitting work.
Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham said he’s not sure whether QBs Drew Pyne (Stats) or Trenton Bourguet (Stats) will be available on Saturday against USC. Both quarterbacks left last week’s game with injuries, and Dillingham said results were better than expected. With Pyne and Bourguet in question and true freshman Jaden Rashada (Stats) out 4-6 weeks, the Sun Devils could be down to fourth-string QB Jacob Conover (Stats), who finished last week’s game.
DEPTH CHART & INJURY REPORT
Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule said QB Jeff Sims (Stats) practiced on Sunday night after missing Week 3 with an ankle injury, though he did reveal who will start on Saturday against Louisiana Tech. Heinrich Haarberg (Stats) played nearly every snap in the win over Northern Illinois after Sims started the first two games. The two are is listed as co-starters on this week’s depth chart.
