COLLEGE FOOTBALL QB REPORT
2025 4-star Austin Simmons will commit today
SCOOP: Austin Simmons
Austin Simmons didn’t reveal a list of finalists and will announce his college decision on Tuesday at 11 a.m. ET. He visited in-state Florida twice last month and received a recent scholarship offer, and more 247Sports crystal ball projections have come in on the Gators. They appear to be in a great position to land a 2025 blue-chip QB prospect this morning.
Alabama hosts 2024 4-star Prentiss Air Noland
SCOOP: Prentiss Air Noland
Prentiss Air Noland has been on quite the number of trips to see the bluebloods this spring, and Alabama is just the latest. The Crimson Tide already have a commitment from 2024 5-star Julian Sayin, but Nick Saban is unlikely to turn down a shot at one of the most talented quarterbacks in the class. The plan is for Noland to commit on Saturday after narrowing his list of schools down to Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Arkansas, Miami, Texas A&M and Oregon.
2024 3-star Deuce Adams announces commitment date
SCOOP: Deuce Adams
Deuce Adams will announce his college decision on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET coming off a trip to Louisville, and an announcement right after a visit generally means good news. Five 247Sports crystal ball predictions sided with the Cardinals, and so did Rivals, which previously projected the Texas prospect to land at Baylor.
DEPTH CHART & INJURY REPORT
Ohio State hopes to name starting QB soon
SCOOP: Bucknuts’ Patrick Murphy
Head coach Ryan Day previously said he’d like to pick out his starting quarterback in the spring and is now hopeful either Kyle McCord (Stats) or Devin Brown (Stats) will separate from the other. Ohio State reached the halfway point of its spring practice schedule, and it’s anyone’s guess who’ll be lining up under center for the Buckeyes in Week 1.
