COLLEGE FOOTBALL QB REPORT

Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi said Christian Veilleux (Stats) will start Saturday vs. Louisville coming out of the bye week. Phil Jurkovec (Stats) started every game to this point of the season but is completing just 50.9% of passes with the Panthers losing four games in a row. Jurkovec is listed as the backup quarterback on this week’s depth chart, and Narduzzi denied reports of Jurkovec moving to tight end.

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said he will find out quarterback Cam Rising’s status today and plan accordingly heading into Saturday vs. Cal. Rising (Stats) has yet to play in a game this season and recently revealed he also tore his meniscus, MPFL and MCL in addition to his ACL in last year’s Rose Bowl. Nate Johnson (Stats) would likely start if Rising is out with Bryson Barnes’ (Stats) injury still being monitored. Whittingham also noted Brandon Rose (Stats) is now available after suffering a training camp injury.

2025 4-star QB George MacIntyre (TN) revealed his top 10 schools to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. If you are Alabama, Auburn, FIU, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee or UCLA, you are still in the running for one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 recruiting class.

DEPTH CHART & INJURY REPORT

Week 7 College Football QB Depth Charts & Injury Reports

Louisiana Tech QB Hank Bachmeier (Stats) is listed as the starter for Tuesday at Middle Tennessee, though that has been the case for the last three games in which he did not play with a shoulder injury. Head coach Sonny Cumbie said Bachmeier is ready to play and is in a tough situation, so we’ll see if Bachmeier or Jack Turner (Stats) will be the guy in this matchup.
