Florida head coach Billy Napier said QB Graham Mertz (stats) will be ready for spring practice after suffering a season-ending nondisplaced collarbone fracture. The injury occurred in the second-to-last game of the season on Nov. 18, and he’ll be a returning starter unless incoming true freshman 5-star DJ Lagway hits the ground running in a big way.
2026 4-star QB Helaman Casuga (UT) is likely to visit Oregon this offseason, 247Sports’ Blair Angulo reported. He picked up a recent offer from the Ducks and made a trip to UCLA last month with plenty of top programs going after one of the top-rated quarterbacks in the class.
Coming off weekend visits to Georgia and Indiana, USC’s 2025 4-star QB commit Julian Lewis (GA) has also been communicating with Alabama and Auburn, On3’s Chad Simmons reported. Lewis has been committed to the Trojans since August, and the in-state Bulldogs appear to be in the best spot outside of USC.
