In Today’s Edition, you’ll get a bonus Saturday morning edition with a TON of quarterback recruiting updates heading into a busy weekend of visits. Also, a couple power conference programs will add a 2025 QB today and tomorrow with four-star Husan Longstreet and three-star Dan Mahan set to announce their commitments.

In Monday’s Edition, paying subscribers will get an updated College Football QB Depth Chart & Injury Report a day before the spring transfer portal window opens.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: I will be going on vacation starting Wednesday through the following Friday. This isn’t a job where I can necessarily take 10 days off from so yes, I will be working on vacation. I envision a lot of in-the-car writing and WiFi battles, so bear with me.

MY TOP THREE

Dan Mahan

2025 3⭐ Dan Mahan (NC) will decide between Duke and Wake Forest today, less than a week after reopening his recruitment from Appalachian State. Mahan knew 2025 3⭐ Cutter Woods (SC) would commit to the Demon Deacons earlier this week, and Wake told him the plan is to take two QBs in the class. Mahan decommitted for the opportunity to play in a power conference and did not take any visits this week. The announcement will come through a post on his Twitter account sometime this morning.

Dia Bell

2026 4⭐ Dia Bell (FL) is visiting Alabama today after nearly double-digit trips within the past month. He told me he’s in good communication with most of the 20-plus programs that offered. Bell does not have additional visits scheduled, and it’s unclear who the frontrunners are with the number of top programs going after him.

Trae Taylor

2027 QB Trae Taylor (IL) will return to Purdue today and told me the Boilermakers are among the teams in communication the most, along with Michigan, USC, NC State, Illinois and UCLA. Other planned visits include Notre Dame (April 16), UCLA (April 18), USC (April 19) and Illinois (April 20). The Wolfpack are expected to visit him on April 23, and Taylor already holds 11 offers.

RECRUITING REPORT

Michael Clayton II

2026 4⭐ Michael Clayton II (FL) will visit Tennessee for its spring game today after seeing Ole Miss and Alabama over the last two days. He previously told me Auburn, Miami and Louisville are top of his recruitment with upcoming visits to Illinois (April 18-19) and Michigan (April 20).
